No, we’re not quoting Game of Thrones, it’s a fact that the fall season is almost over and now it’s time to start thinking about preparing for the hassles that come with cold weather. We’re talking about insulating windows, closing gaps in door to prevent drafts… and Shoveling Snow.

Maybe it’s something you did as a child or something you have never done because you pay a neighborhood kid to do it, but it’s important to know certain things about Shoveling Snow before you actually attempt it. Continuous snow shoveling can put you at risk for injury if you’re not in tip-top shape; it’s good policy for snow shoveling safety to promise yourself beforehand that you will take a break every 5 minutes or so. To actually do this right, wear a watch and set alarms.
